How to Install Stock B194 Nougat Update on Huawei Mate 9 –

Method 1

1) Requirements for this method.

• You need to unlock the bootloader of Huawei Mate 9 first, Skip it if you already had it unlocked.
• Download HWOTA_MHA.zip file.
• Download the above three files and rename the “update_data_full_public.zip” file to update_data_public.zip and “update_full_hw_usa.zip” to update_all_hw.zip.

2) First download the HWOTA_MHA.zip from above and extract it on your PC or your device SD Card.

3) Now download all three update, data, and public files (make sure you rename the files as mentioned above) and copy them either in the external SDCard inside an HWOTA folder or in the PC in the C:\..\HWOTA\update folder.

4) Run the update.bat file as an administrator, It will ask you if you copied the files. Press any key to continue.

5) Now connect your device and Reboot into Bootloader mode using “Volume Down + Power” or just use “adb reboot bootloader” then press any key.

6) The above step will install TWRP in your device.

7) Now Disconnect USB Cable and turn off your device and use “Volume Up + Power” to enter TWRP.

8) Once you’re in TWRP mode, plug in the USB cable again and press the Enter key on your computer.

9) If your files are saved in the HWOTA folder on the SD card, type 1 and press ENTER and if files are saved in the HWOTA/Update folder on your PC, type 2 and press ENTER.

10) It’ll ask you the update type, again type 1 and press the Enter button twice.

11) Done! Above step will start the installation of files on your device

Method 2

1) First, you need to unlock the bootloader of Huawei Mate 9 and download and install a custom recovery. If you already had an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery installed on your device then skip this step.

2) Now go to installation directory open ADB folder and open the command window thereby pressing and hold the ‘shift’ key and right-click anywhere in that folder.

3) Now connect your phone to PC and reboot the device into fastboot mode by press and hold Volume Down + power keys or by typing below command in cmd window

4) You are in Fastboot mode now to check your connection by entering below command in command prompt. It will return your device serial number means your device properly connected. Check your driver if the above command is not responding.

5) Type the below command correctly in command prompt and then press enter. It starts flashing recovery on your phone.

6) With above command, you installed the custom recovery on Redmi 4X.

7) Now disconnect your phone and boot into Recovery mode by pressing and hold the Volume Up + Power Key and follow the below process to Root Redmi 4X Santoni.

Root Redmi 4X –

1) To Root Redmi 4X, first, download the SuperSu zip file from above.

2) Now save the SuperSu zip file to your phone.

3) Boot your device into Recovery mode (TWRP) by pressing ‘Volume Up + Power‘ button.

4) In TWRP recovery navigate to Install Zip and select ‘SuperSu.zip’ to Root Redmi 4X.

5) Swipe to install SuperSu and reboot your device. That’s it, you root Redmi 4X and install TWRP successfully.

Method 2

1) Download TWRP and Root zip file from above and extract the file on ADB and Fastboot folder.

2) There are two files inside one is for Nougat users and other is for Marshmallow users.

3) Now boot your phone into the Fastboot Mode.

4) Connect the device to PC.

5) Run the twrp-installer.bat file.

6) Above step will install the TWRP. and Now your device will boot in TWRP, do not select Read Only, just swipe

7) Now your device will boot in TWRP.

9) Now Clean Cache/Dalvik and reboot. you should find SuperSu installed.

Finally, Root for the USA Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ has been achieved. Thanks to the XDA Recognized Contributor elliwigy who worked hard and shared the files and guide to Root Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ US variants (Snapdragon Variants). Snapdragon models are available in the US and some other markets and they are hard to root, while the company is selling the Exynos variants in Europe, Korea, and many other regions. Exynos models of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have been rooted previously and also TWRP for Korean Galaxy S8/Plus Snapdragon variants was available. The current root method is exploit-based and does not unlock Galaxy S8/S8+ bootloader. On the plus side, KNOX isn’t tripped but locked bootloader means there is no custom recovery or ROM for it. How to Root Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Snapdragon Variants

Part 1 –

1. 1. Download the S8/Plus SAMPWND firmware package and the systemroot.zip file to your PC.
   2. Now extract the both zip files in the ADB and fastboot folder.
   3. Open Prince Comsy Odin, and place the firmware files in their respective slot (BL –> BL, AP –> AP, CP–> CP, CSC–> CSC)
   4. Connect your Galaxy S8 to your PC with the data cable and reboot into the Download/Odin mode.
   5. To enter into download mode turn off your phone and press and hold the Bixby and volume down bttons, then press the power button. until you see the download mode screen.
   6. Once you enter into Download mode, you see an ID: COM port turned blue and Added message in Odin message box means your device has recognized by Odin.
   7. If ID: COM doesn’t show means your driver is not correctly installed or try it with different USB cable.
   8. Make sure that only these options are select/tick Auto Reboot, Re-Partition, F. Reset Time, Nand Erase All, and Phone Bootloader Update.
   9. Now click ‘Start‘ button and it will start flashing the file. Wait until you see ‘Pass‘ in Green Color on Odin screen.
   10. Now your device will reboot into recovery mode, at this point just select reboot system now.
   11. Now, setup your phone and enable USB Debugging again.
   12. On ADB folder press shift+right click and click on open command here.
   13. Now check your connection by typing the below command

       adb devices

        if your device is listed, you’re ready to move to the next step.

   14. Issue the following adb commands one by one.

       adb push systemroot /data/local/tmp
       
       adb shell chmod -R 0777 /data/local/tmp
       
       adb shell setsid su

   15. If the last command from above worked for you, you’ll not be seeing dream2qlte, $ or # in the command window, but when you type in “id” and hit enter it should show you as root.
   16. If you see dream2qlte, $ or # Type “exit” in the command prompt till you see a blank line and don’t get any errors. You will see a in the next line a “#”. Then type “id”
   17. Once you’re in the root shell, enter the command below.

       echo /data/local/tmp/systemroot/remount2.sh > /sys/kernel/uevent_helper

       (this will remount system and rootfs as r/w)

   18. Now wait 10-20 seconds and then type “mount” and enter until you see / or rootfs and /system mounted as RW. Once you see them mounted as RW, execute the below script.

       sh /data/local/tmp/systemroot/root.sh

       (there will be some errors displayed back to you in adb, don’t worry about them)

   19. When the script is complete your device will reboot. This step will Root Snapdragon Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus US variants.
   20. Once the phone is back up, you should be rooted.

1) First enable ‘USB debugging’ and ‘OEM Unlock’ option from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.

2) Go to ADB  installation directory and press and hold ‘shift’ key and right-clicked anywhere in the folder and select ‘Open command window here’.

3) Now connect your device to PC and enter into the fastboot mode.

4) You are in Fastboot mode now to check your connection by entering below command in command prompt.

fastboot devices

5) To unlock bootloader of Pixel on Android Oreo, go to the command line and type below command. It will only take seconds to complete the process.

fastboot flashing unlock

6) Now your device will reboot into bootloader mode.

Flashing Android Oreo Factory Image on Pixel and Nexus Devices

1) Download the Android Oreo factory image for your device and unzip it.

2) Connect your device to the PC over USB and Enable USB Debugging option from setting>developer option>.

3) Now connect your device to PC and enter into the fastboot mode. To enter in fastboot mode press and hold ‘Volume Up + Volume Down + Power’ button or by typing “adb reboot bootloader”

4) Open the command prompt and navigate to the unzipped system image directory.

5) Now Execute the “flash-all.bat“, it will unzip the image files and install the necessary bootloader, baseband firmware(s), and operating system. The step will install Android Oreo system image on Nexus and Pixel devices.

If flash-all.bat file not work, you can pass all commands manually by –

1) First, flash the bootloader and the radio

fastboot flash bootloader <bootloader file name here>.img
fastboot flash radio <radio file name here>.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader

2) Flash the recovery, boot, and system

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img

3) Now a full wipe, flash cache and userdata

fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img

4) Reboot your device

fastboot reboot
